One of my absolute favorite spots in NY is Point Peninsula, or ShangriLa, or as its known to my family and friends, Fire Dancers. PT Peninsula is located in the 1000 islands, right around the corner from Cape Vincent. The 1000 islands area is a gorgeous place to go hiking, sight seeing, camping, or to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, even the small ones.

| This is the view from our tent, looking up the hill at the Love Shack, as it is so lovingly known. There are acres and acres of land and trails back further that you can take hikes through and ride four wheelers on. |

| This is our view of the bay from our little beach. During the sunny hours of the day, the shoreline is usually filled with friends and family enjoying the water and relaxing. The bay gets very warm throughout the summer, and by August, it is as warm as bath water! | |
